Cookies and other information that we collect automatically
What is a Cookie?
Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or a mobile application. They are used to recognise your computer when you navigate between the different pages of a website or when you return to a website or mobile application that you have previously visited. Cookies are widely used in the operation of work platforms, to improve their operations, as well as to provide information to platform owners.
There are two broad categories of cookies:
Cookies developed internally, which ZRC® uses directly on your computer or mobile device. These are used exclusively by ZRC® to recognise your computer or mobile device when it returns to our Platform.
Third-party cookies, used by a third-party service provider on our Platform, which may be used by the service provider in order to recognise your computer or mobile device when it visits other platforms. Third-party cookies are generally used for purposes of advertising or platform analysis.
The cookies may remain on your computer or mobile device for different periods of time. ZRC® uses both ‘session cookies’ and ‘permanent cookies’. Session cookies last as long as your browser remains open and are deleted automatically once you close your browser. Permanent cookies remain in place after your browser is closed and can be used to recognise your computer or your mobile device when you open your browser and go online again.
What cookies does ZRC® use?
The Platform uses only the following types of cookies on your computer or mobile device:
